Mentoring Program Ethics Statements
All participants in the SQA Mentoring Program must agree to the following ethics statements in order to participate.
Mentee Ethics and Commitment Statement:
- I agree to keep the content of our conversations confidential during and after program completion.
- I commit to devoting the necessary time to make this mentoring experience successful.
- I commit to using active listening skills in order to look at issues from a broader perspective.
- I commit to providing direct, respectful and honest feedback to my Mentor.
- I am open to and expect to receive direct, respectful and honest feedback from my Mentor.
- I commit to sharing my disappointments and challenges as well as my successes with my Mentor in order to present myself as a whole human being.
- I understand my Mentor is not a “sponsor” or a consultant, and I agree to hold myself accountable for my own career development.
- I understand that statements made by my Mentor are the individual's own opinions and do not necessarily represent the opinions of the organization the Mentor represents or the Society of Quality Assurance.

- I commit to providing direct, respectful and honest feedback to my Mentee.
- I am open to and expect to receive direct, respectful and honest feedback from my Mentee.
- I commit to sharing my disappointments and challenges as well as my successes with my Mentee in order to present myself as a whole human being.
- I understand that I am not a “sponsor” or a consultant, and I agree to hold my Mentee accountable for his/her own career development.
- I understand that statements made by my Mentee are the individual's own opinions and do not necessarily represent the opinions of the organization the Mentee represents or the Society of Quality Assurance.
